WHAT HAPPENED TO LOCAL BANKING?
If you have been a customer of The Peoples Bank, you know it has never been gone. The concept of local banking has remained the mainstay since the bank opened. We were the first bank (in 1968) to have our own computer system in house. Forty two (42) years later we still have our own computer system with our own computer people and computer services to match our much larger competitors.
Our thought is our customers want their business to stay local and for everything to be done at their own bank, instead of being "farmed out" and having a much larger institution just do the processing. What are the advantages, you ask? The primary advantage is having a person to talk to if you have a problem. Yes, that's right you can call and talk to a real person about your real problem. The lead time for corrections or problem solving is much shorter, and normally accomplished while you are on the phone.
If you consider us "your neighbors and your friends" you realize your neighbors and your friends always go the distance in helping and recognizing you when you enter the buildings. Does The Peoples Bank offer services so I can bank at home? |
